Photos finished

Well, those twelve rolls of film I found in my room the other day have been developed, and the pictures have come back.

5 of the rolls were from the wedding day of one of my relatives for a marriage that is now defunct.

3 of the rolls were from the wedding day of another of my relatives…for a marriage that is also now defunct.

Not a total loss, I guess. There are a lot of pictures of then-young relatives being cute, and a few pictures of relatives who are now deceased such as my mother's father. Still, it's kind of ironic that 2/3 of the photos I had such hopes for turned out to be photos that the principal participants in would probably rather not see.

("So, the lesson we have learned," a friend said, "is never to let you photograph a wedding.")

Of the remaining rolls, 2 of them were from BotCon 2000 (lots of shots of fellow Transformers fans in there, but I can no longer remember who they are!), and 2 more were photos of my old roach-motel apartment on one of the rare occasions it was neat and tidy, and a cat I had the acquaintance of while there. A few nice memories in those, I guess.

Still, I didn't find any of the things I really would have liked to have seen: pics from my trips to Seattle and Portland in the distant past. I probably did have those developed at the time, and the photos are probably lost somewhere amid all the stuff from my old room that my parents have in storage in the basement of their house.
