Sunday morning update

Life proceeds apace. Haven't done anything hugely exciting since my last entry over a week ago. My new phone arrived and I've been enjoying it. In a lot of ways, it's a big improvement over the old one; in a few, it isn't, but most of those are pretty minor. I will probably write a longer post about it for TeleRead in a few days.
My old Pebble Smartwatch has been getting less and less reliable, and finally I got fed up enough with it to see what was around in a replacement. For $80 I found a fairly minimalist watch that looks pretty decent. Battery life should last more than a full day if I take appropriate precautions, and that's all I can really ask. It arrived Saturday morning, and I'm fairly pleased with it so far.
That electric fan I mentioned in the last entry did arrive, and it's definitely very useful in my attic. And it lets me keep my smaller fan down there and not have to keep moving it back and forth. I count that as a win.
Still no sign of the bike battery. I went to phone the company again for my weekly pester Friday, and found they were closed in observance of Juneteenth. I can't exactly fault them for that, and it probably wouldn't have made a whit of difference if I had been able to get through to them, but still, a little annoying.
Took the bus down to the store and spent $300 on groceries, which I got my brother Aaron's help to haul back to my apartment. There were some needful things there I definitely needed, plus a few things I just wanted.
Suppose I should go to bed now…
