• Thu, 15:59: Let the rental company talk me into upgrading to a mid-size, a Kia Forte. It has cruise control.
• Thu, 16:00: So now I can honestly say that driving 8 hours to Indianapolis is not my forte...it is, in fact, a rental.
• Thu, 16:05: Well, time to go to work, and thence drive the 400+ miles to Indianapolis. Or, rounding up, my own personal "Indianapolis 500".
• Thu, 19:06: Still at work. Haven't been released yet. Supe says I should be next. Hope it's soon.
• Thu, 20:47: Still haven't managed to get off of work yet. But my boss knows how much I need to get gone, and has said he'll let me as soon as he can.
• Thu, 21:53: Off work now, stopping at Kinko's to print Google Maps directions before heading on.
• Thu, 22:23: Getting on the road, later than I'd hoped but sooner than I'd feared.

• Fri, 01:43: Eureka, MO is so appropriately-named. I was looking for a Lion's Choice restaurant, then Eureka! there it was at the next exit.
• Fri, 01:44: Ate dinner, had caffeinated beverage, checked wifi...now I just have to make a restroom pit stop and it's back on the road.
