It's really pouring down rain outside. It must be monsoon season.

I'm hoping that it will blow over within a half hour or so, as Accuweather shows it's coming from a pretty small but intense blotch of yellowish red that's moving over Springfield on the radar map.

My cat sits at the screen door, listening to the rain, caught between a desire to be outside (where I don't let her go, it's dangerous for cats out there) and a disdain for being rained on. Aren't we all?

Guess I'll be a little late to work today. It's better than being drenched.

Rain has passed and the sun is shining. Time to get to work.

The sky was…odd as I drove in. To the west and south, dark grey ominous stormclouds. To the east and north, bright blue sky—and halfway to work, the sun broke out of the clouds. So, bright sunshine, blue sky—and ominous storms to the south. Only they weren't really ominous, they were more sort of un-ominous or anti-ominous, because it was their tail end; they're going south to bother the people in Branson—leaving clear blue sky in their wake.

Happy first day of summer!

I happen to think this is really neat.
