Snow Daze

Well, there's a great big ol' blob of snow moving in on the weather radar. It'll be our first snow of the winter, and the weather forecasters are spreading gloom and doom.

And I rode in to work on my scooter. Heh.

I've been working on a new podcast series, on my Biblio File podcast: taking an audiobook recording of the Arsène Lupin stories by Maurice Leblanc and annotating them. I've already gotten two of them up, and I have a good chunk of the third one written. I find I'm discovering a lot of interesting stuff as I research this third one.

Thoughts on the new GR: Giant Robo OAVs

I'm a big fan of the Giant Robo: The Day the Earth Stood Still (aka Giant Robo: The Animation) OAV series. I consider it a masterpiece, and one of the last great 100% cel-animated works ever created.

Today, I watched the first two episodes of the new OAV, GR: Giant Robo. And, well, I'm a bit disappointed.
