Well, ChaCha was to be featured on Good Morning America today, so I got up all nice and early and tuned in for the half-hour during which it was to be shown...and didn't see it. Apparently it was aired during the timeslot that my local station replaced with a local news segment.

But oh well, at least I could log in and take advantage of that high traffic to get some searching for money done, right?

Only...I logged in and promptly didn't receive a single search, for the last three hours. Apparently the site got so much traffic that the system is breaking down a little. On the bright side, I did get a half dozen more requests for invitations to be ChaCha guides, which I promptly fulfilled—despite the claim last night that the invitation system was going to be offline until Thursday. It still seems to be up now, and I still seem to be able to send invitations despite theoretically being limited to 8 slots and only getting slots back when people I invite actually make progress as guides. Man, those ChaCha folks sure have some buggy code. But I'll make the best of it while I can.

I have made $37.45 so far, which, if not a complete replacement salary, is at least a decent amount for sitting in front of the computer anyway.

If anyone else wants invitations, email me and I'll fulfill 'em while I can.

I think I've been kind of remiss in not mentioning this in my LJ.

I've been listening to a podcast lately, by Mercedes Lackey and Steve Libbey. It's a really fun and exciting podcast—an audiobook about one of those settings that's almost like our world except it has superheroes in it. Yeah, one of those. People do those all the time. However, this one is done with panache, and it's really getting good.

So, check out Secret World Chronicle. If you like exciting superhero action, it'll be right up your alley.
