I'm reading a lot of books lately. And...I have a unique complaint. I have too many books to read! Sequels to books or series I haven't touched in a long time have been coming out lately...forcing me to have to reread the original book or books in order to refresh my memory so as to be able to read the new books with full appreciation. I'm rereading the aforementioned Curse of Chalion in order to read its sequel; I'm rereading the two Bahzell books, Oath of Swords and The War God's Own (available for free here, by the way, and very good reading) in order to read the parts of the new one that have just started appearing in snippet form on Baen's Bar. There's a new 1632-series book almost out, and I still have to read the rest of the four-book Aurian series I just started.

God help me when the next Honor Harrington book comes out.

In a way, this is good news...I won't lack for stuff to read during the long hours of work for some time. It's just...I don't think I've ever felt like I was behind on my leisure reading before.

After work, I headed back home, but only to touch base briefly. I headed out again, intending to pick up something lunchwise for tomorrow (since I finished off the last of my hot dogs today). But first, I headed over to the Keyes Gallery and the Springfield Brewing Company, to drop off a couple of books and have a beer.

Keyes Gallery & observations thereof; Brewing Co. & the rest of my night )

And now, it's time for bed. My cold seems to have by and large left me, but there's no point in tempting fate by not getting enough rest. I'm going to close and hit the sack now. More anon.
