Monday Morning Report
Jan. 5th, 2004 01:33 pmQuick recap of how things went yesterday.
We woke up about noon, piddled around with computer games for a while, then went to eat lunch at the Springfield Brewing Co. at about 1. I thought that we could head down to the Palace Theater about 2 to catch the Loony Toons: Back in Action movie, which I thought looked pretty good for a 'Toons fan. It would have worked, too...we got there about exactly the time it was to start. The problem was it was all sold out. (Sold out. Since when does that happen?)
Opting not to come back for the 4:20 show, we headed back up to my place, with a couple stops along the way. One of those was at CD Warehouse, a used CD & DVD shop where we found a few bargains. I picked up Iron Monkey for $10, and Travis got the Monsters Inc. special edition—and the Ah! My Goddess movie for me. When we got home, we watched Monsters, Inc., since I'd never seen the movie, and the extra shorts and things available on disc 2. Then Travis headed on out, back to K.C. After which I played Populous: The Beginning until 2 a.m.
All things considered, it was a good visit. I think the next visit will be in late February, when I go up to K.C. to see a Guster concert (assuming they still have tickets left by the time I can afford to buy them).
