The next door neighbor sometimes comes to my door to borrow my tool set to work on his car across the way. As he did so this morning, I had an idea and asked him, if I were to get a muffler from a junkyard, whether he might be able to install it. He took a look under my car at the muffer currently on it, succinctly summed its condition up with the words, "It's f-cked," and said that if I got ahold of one, he could probably install it easily. I'll call around tomorrow when salvage yards are open and see if I can obtain such a part economically.

When I was talking to a friend today about what he wanted for Christmas, he suggested that I should pick a couple of good Jackie Chan/Hong Kong action movies to send him, since the only one he had was Iron Monkey. So I took a look at Poker Industries, an importer of genuine, legitimate (non-pirate) Hong Kong DVDs (which are usually region-free and true to the original version of the movie—unlike American versions, which usually have completely different soundtracks and substantial edits) at extremely reasonable prices, and found some things that would do. As I was checking out, I noticed a space in the order form for a coupon code...and I figured what the heck, it would only take a few minutes to run it through Google. As it happened, my search-fu was strong today: I found a coupon code on this DVD price comparison site that's good until November 31st (sic). (Edit: This had led me to believe it would be good until tomorrow, until someone in the comments reminded me that November only has 30 days, so I dunno.) The code, DVDPS111530, is good for 15% off their already-quite-low prices. It was a good enough deal, I went ahead and got some Christmas presents for a couple more friends and family and a couple discs for myself while I was at it. So, if you or someone you know like Hong Kong action, check 'em out.
