Getting ready for my last day of work before The Trip. I've been looking forward to this for over a month now. As with any event you spend longer anticipating than doing, it's going to be a little hard to come down from all this afterward...especially since next week will include a massive round of training to get us ready for the new department we're all moving to now that ComX/Zorro is closing down. So now we're going to be the Small Business Local department...the ones to whom I've been thankfully sending difficult problems all this time because I didn't have to deal with them. After the changeover, I'll be having to deal with them.

In other news, the last volume of Preacher I was missing finally got here yesterday, so I read both of the ones I have and today will be passing them on to the girl who lent me the first seven. And this morning I just finished watching another live-action Japanese show which looks like it's gonna be pretty good: the live-action version of Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. It's funny...you wouldn't think a magical-girls show could work in live-action, but this one just does somehow. Anyway, after the anime finally petered out, it's good to have some new Sailor Moon to watch again. (It can be downloaded via BitTorrent from the fansubber's BitTorrent page if anyone's interested.)

It looks like next Saturday is the set date for assembling the new computer...which means I'll place the order as soon as I get back from K.C. (or perhaps even before I head home, thanks to the miracle of Internet technology). Hopefully a week will be enough time to allow for it all to get here. I can hardly wait! I guess it'll be good to have something to look forward to through the week of long training...

When I got off on break this afternoon, I noticed something on my caller ID that someone had tried to call me. It turned out to be Barnes & Noble.

When I called them back to find out why, they found that apparently I had ordered a large-print edition of a Harry Potter book on June 19, and it finally came in. Aside from the fact that it doesn't speak well of a bookstore for it to take four months to get an ordered book in...I never ordered that book.

Or at least I don't remember doing so, nor can I come up with any good reasons why I might have done so.

Weird.
