Make the bad man stop scaring me, Mommy!

I innocently clicked onto an article mentioning a new Michael Jackson documentary, and happened onto some very scary stuff.

[Michael Jackson] said he would now love to adopt two kids from each continent of the world. "That is my dream." And he said: "If there were no children on this Earth, if someone announced all kids were dead, I would jump off the balcony immediately."

You know...hmm, nah, that's too cynical even for me.

Columbia anime tribute art

Some folks may not care to see any more Columbia tribute art, and others may think that art using anime characters to express sadness somehow trivializes the tragedy. If you fall into those categories, then please just pass this post by; I've put an lj-cut so you don't have to look at it if you don't want to.

(no subject)

Spent the afternoon cooking beef pot pie, and also having some confrontations with the neighbor (by means of banging on the wall at each other). I think I'll be avoiding meeting him directly for the next few days.

Joe came over, and helped me put the finishing touches on and bake the pies. He remarked quite a bit on how good the food smelled, and seemed to be quite impressed: "I didn't know you could make anything this good," he said. He had a few ideas about ways of improving it, which is cool; that's what a recipe is, really. Something that can be improved upon. It's not as if I didn't improve on this one myself.

We watched the first episode of Macross Zero, a Lupin III/Weird Al music video, the third season 2 BMW film, a bit of my commentary to Castle of Cagliostro, and a bit of the first episode of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. It was fun.
