Sims Online
Oct. 24th, 2002 09:28 pmYesterday, I found out that Fileplanet is offering betatest slots for The Sims Online to its subscribers. (Fileplanet, for those who don't know, is a computer game update-and-demo file hosting service that provides better service to people who pay for additional privileges.)
Given that a subscription to Fileplanet only costs $7 for a month, I immediately jumped at the chance.
It barely runs on my machine, and that only with some complaints. The minimum requirement is 500 MHz, and I run at 450. Still, other than an occasional bit of slowness, I haven't had many problems. The game is very much like its off-line ancestor, though a few changes have been made necessary by the different nature of on-line vs. off-line play.
Hey, are any of the folks reading this journal also in the playtest? If so, just wanted to let you know that my character in Blazing Falls is "Robotech Master".
