Well, I'm sitting in the St. Peters branch of the local public library at a web access terminal. I had hoped I would be able to check my email from here, or from the hotel, but as it turns out, there's either firewall or security lockdown on everything. I even tried to find a web-accessible telnet client, but to no avail. I'm cut off from my email.

I suppose I might as well take advantage of the hour or so I have before the wedding to get started typing up my trip notes for LJ entry; it's not like there's much else I can do.

Well, okay, I didn't actually cross the Mississippi, but I crossed its brother the Missouri, five times on three different bridges.

Just have time for a brief post to summarize what's gone on today. Lengthier version will be transcribed from my notepad tomorrow or Monday.

After I typed up the journal entry at the library, I went to the church to the wedding. I read the aforementioned Bible passage, Alex and Rachael were married, we went to the reception, then we came to the house of the parents of the bride where I snagged some quality time on their computer. Much fun was had by all.

Now I'm being dragged away by parentals back to the hotel. I'm not sure what will happen tomorrow--whether I'll end up visiting Grant's Farm as my [livejournal.com profile] compassrose character wants me to, or whether I'll just head on home. I don't have much money, but it seems a shame to be all the way up here in St. Louis and not do any sightseeing.
