Here's a quick welcome shout-out to [livejournal.com profile] extropian, a fellow native of my current hometown of Springfield, Misery and also a fellow gamer. Make him feel at home!

In the "Oh, that's nice" department...as I was just coming out of the bathroom after taking my evening shower...the full-length mirror fell off the bathroom door. Good thing I caught it before it could break; the last thing I need is any more bad luck.

Apparently the darn thing was held on by just a couple of nails and a bunch of adhesive sticky patches. Well, at least I have more sticky patches in my car's glove compartment...I think...

Forgot to mention...got notification earlier today that my Clie is finally on its way back to me. The annoying thing is, it'll probably arrive tomorrow when I'm at work...and UPS has never been good about letting you pick up a missed package the same day you missed it. Which means it'd be Monday before I can get my hands on it. Grrr. Wonder if I could trust any of the neighbors to receive it for me?

Darn it all, I want my Clie back! I've been too long without it. I feel lost without it! Darn Sony and their horribly unresponsive customer service anyway...

Well, today at work they were handing out T-shirts. I guess now I can't say they never gave us anything. Heh. These shirts are for us to wear during "Customer Appreciation Days," June 1-8th, as we try to present our best face to the customers, who have been blizzarded with a massive barrage of circulars.

Anyway, the front of the shirt says "K-Mart Forever". I suppose that must be the third K-Mart movie, between "K-Mart Returns" and before "K-Mart and Robin".

The back says "K-Mart: The Stuff of Life". I'm not quite sure what to say here. I guess modesty isn't our strong suit.

Anyway, I'm guessing there are going to be a lot of really good deals over the next week or so, and a lot of uncomfortable K-Mart employees trying to be on their very bestest behavior, so it might be worth stopping in to take in the show if you happen to be around one over the next week-and-a-day.

In other news, I got my Clie back today; I had the UPS guy deliver it to a nearby burrito restaurant in my absense. After a bit of twiddling and tinkering, I finally have the thing back to "normal" and am looking forward to enjoying a Clie-gifted life again. Now, if only Honor's War would hurry up and come out!
