Well, here I am. Another day of noodling around on the computer. Noodling around in Linux, instead of booting to Windows to watch a DVD, just for sheer laziness. Well, it's the first effective day of Thanksgiving break, I think I'm entitled to just laze.
Spent the day talking to my friends on Internet chat; went out for lunch at St. Louis Bread Company. I like their sourdough soup bowls. I had chicken noodle. Accidentally put too much Tabasco into it, though; one of these days, I'll have to learn not to do that.
Well, Mozilla 0.9.6 came out yesterday, and I went ahead and put it on my Linux box. It's working great, especially the new tabbed browsing function. Now I can have all my sessions open and viewable from a single window. That's some nice stuff.
The war goes on, but I'm hopeful it'll be ending before long. The Taliban's already lost control of most of the country; it won't be long now. Of course, after that the
real hard stuff starts--setting up a decent government. Good luck to everyone involved in it--they're gonna need it.
On the home front, Wil Wheaton, whom I mentioned a few days back in relation to the Bruce Campbell interview, wrote a nice little
article for a satire magazine that amused me. A little perspective on the home front. Man, the more I read from Wheaton, the more impressed I am by him.
I can't really think of anything substantive to say here, so I'll stop babbling, post this, and feel satisfied that I've met my post a day obligation. Later!
