I dumped Chrome for Firefox last year. Google has been adamantly unresponsive about UI and usability issues. Here's a (not much of a) secret: users don't like software. They tolerate it. When something less annoying shows up then they're going to flock to it. That's why so many dumped Firefox for Chrome, and it's why users are now going the other way.
