This morning I woke up a little early, then headed down to the library and post office to print and mail my tax forms in. Was a little annoying writing that $150 check, but I can manage it. If necessary, I can just take my lunch all week…oh wait, I already am!

The army surplus lunchbox worked really well: my food was safe. I did notice there seems to be some crud in it that I'll probably take a hose and rinse out when I next have the box home. (I packed two days' worth of lunch in it and just left it in the fridge overnight.) But my food is wrapped and my Mountain Dew can rinsed off easily enough.

Heard from Dad that he went ahead and contacted Best Buy and they issued him a $52 credit. Excellent news. Makes me feel even better about the new TV. Wonder if it will fall any further in weeks to come? If it drops again in the next 27 days, Dad can get another credit.

Since I couldn't find my THX optimizer specs, I went ahead and ordered another set last night. They're just $5, and will help to calibrate the color settings on the new TV so that it looks as perfect as it possibly can. Went ahead and had them shipped to the parents' address so I don't have to worry about forgetting them.

Reread The Wind in the Willows today. It's such an amazing book, and quite evocatively written. Maybe I'll review it for TeleRead one of these days.
