Just finished making a couple of payments (well, making one via the web, writing a check for another and stamping the envelope to be mailed tomorrow). Paid off my NewEgg charge account for the last of the cost of upgrading my computer a few months ago to add Windows 7, more RAM, and a bigger hard drive, and got rid of an old medical bill that's been haunting me for a while.
Now I just have to wait for my paycheck to hit the bank sometime tomorrow (hopefully) and my BioKinetic check on Friday and I can put paid to most of the credit card bill I built up from having my car in the shop, as well as pay my Internet bill and the current installment of my MOHELA loan, then have a little left over to live on 'til my next paycheck in two more weeks.
It's kind of neat being fiscally responsible and having a scheduled day of the month on which to pay some things. After this month, I'll just have the rest of that credit card bill, the last of my leftover Federal and State tax bills, one more medical bill I noticed on my free credit report, and of course that $2000 loan to pay down. If I just take care of these things a bit at a time, I'll be clear before you know it.
Time to start thinking about Christmas presents, I guess. Still need to be kind of frugal this year, but at least I can afford to buy some things now.
