When you wish upon a list…
Oh, by the way, I've updated my Amazon Wish List for the holiday season. Discovered a neat thing this year: sometime between now and whenever I last used it, Amazon has added the ability to add items from other sites to its wish list. So I can price-match DVDs between Amazon and DeepDiscount and add the cheaper version, for example, or add Baen Webscription months, or even a DVD-ROM drive from NewEgg or Geeks.com.
Given that the Amazon Wish List has become a great source of holiday succor for my parents, who are thrilled and delighted about no longer having to brave the madding crowds of the shopping season, this means I've got a lot better chance of getting exactly what I want, rather than just that subset of it that can be found on Amazon.
