March 7th, it goes up on Archive.org for free download under a Creative Commons license, in higher-resolution than is viewable streaming right now.
This is a gorgeous work of art that was nearly torpedoed by the greed of corporations who, through no effort of their own, ended up with the copyrights to some of the 80-year-old music used in it. As it is, the animator had to take out a $50,000 loan to pay the licensing fees.
This is such an awesome movie. I can't wait to snag the high-resolution version.
