The conquering hero returns

Whew. Just got back from a lengthy Springfield trip, which I twittered extensively as it happened, so expect to see the whole sordid story pop up around midnight tonight—complete with photos, thanks to the Twitpic service that my friend Sandy turned me onto.

The upshot of the trip to the doctor was that the specialists in Columbia, MO to whom he sent my x-rays wants to see me toward the end of this month, and I'll probably be going in for surgery not too long after that.

I'm pretty tired, but there's a post I have to respond to over on TeleRead. Seems someone took exception to me complaining about Stanza, and decided I must be biased. Still working out just how to respond to that one. Basically, I'm not biased—I grumble about e-book readers equally. :P

Just discussed with the parents the timetable for moving me back up to the apartment. It looks like it's going to be this weekend. I have mixed feelings about that. It'll be good to be home, but I'll miss the good home cooking down here.

Well, off to the grind.
