In which I become a 'pod person
Oct. 28th, 2004 08:42 amHi. You may be wondering where I've been. The short answer is, "City of Heroes has eaten my brane." I get home from work every night and immmediately log on, and only log off when it's time to go to bed. It's such a fun game...and as always, if any of you have characters on the Victory server, please let me know, I'd love to meet up and play wit'chas.
Updated my essay journal last night, for the first time in a coon's age. Put in something about a couple of copyright thingies in the news recently, and this morning added something about another important bit of news:
My free iPod arrived yesterday. Only took them a month and a half or so to be able to ship it from the distributors, but that's not bad. I opened it for long enough to look it over, and I am definitely impressed. (More on that in the journal entry.) I can't really make much use of it until I've gotten my entire collection, of which large parts were either illicit or else ripped with non-tagging rippers, properly tagged, but I'm making a good start on that; I downloaded MusicBrainz Tagger and turned it loose on my 3000-plus-tracks mp3 collection. There were a large number it couldn't identify, of course, but a large number which it could, and that cuts down on the tracks I have to tag by other means.
Once I've finally gotten this chore done...then I will feel entitled to plug in that iPod and give it a spin.
It finally came! FreeiPods.com is not a hoax! Yay!
