Morning report

robotech_masterWell, I slept through the morning without a lot of loud revving waking me up. So perhaps the guy blew off his anger yesterday and won't be doing it again. OTOH, maybe he just doesn't work today...so I'll keep the tape recorder handy for the next few days just in case.
Been trying to get the TV-Out port of my Windows computer to work, so that I could pipe DVDs and other videos out to my TV while still doing computery stuff on this monitor. Didn't get good results. On my TVCR, I got a lot of rapidly-scrolling diagonal lines. The theory was that macrovision was messing something up. When I connected it to a neighbor's TV set (in both cases, going through my old VCR because his set was so old it didn't have an RCA in) what I got was so dim I couldn't make anything out. I think I'm going to end up waiting until I can borrow a much newer TV from someone—one with an RCA in jack, or even S-Video in. Well, still, as these things go, it's a relatively minor disappointment.
Had a couple of the neighbors come over last night, and showed them a couple of segments from films—and a couple of the BMW films—on my 5.1 surround sound system. They were properly appreciative. Still, I'd like to get family members or closer friends to come up and see what I've got and be impressed by it...
Well, gonna go shave and dress and maybe see what I can do about getting that muffler back up where it belongs. A closer look indicates that I don't even need new hardware...it's just that the tongue which holds it in a bracket has somehow slipped out of the bracket. So I need to undo the bracket, lift the muffler up, and redo it. Hopefully it won't be too difficult.
