Nov. 10th, 2003 10:39 amAll in all, I'm quite satisfied with the way in which I've rearranged my room. Where my computer desk used to be in the corner of the room, now it's along the center of one wall, with my DVD and VHS racks occupying the spot where it used to be. I've moved my big old chair from the middle of the room where it used to be over to a spot against the wall by the door, and moved some shelves that used to be where the computer desk is now over to where the DVD and VHS racks used to be. It's a relatively small change, but now I begin to understand where the idea of Chinese feng shui came from: just moving a bit of furniture here and there makes it seem like the room is bigger. It's not so closed in, and doesn't have that big chair breaking up the flow of things. There's a lot of room in the middle once again, the chair is facing somewhere useful, and I've got the surround speakers positioned so that the whole room is filled with music. The room's feng shui has improved a great deal, as has its Sims Room score. :)
Today is when Veteran's Day is observed, but I hadn't heard anything about not coming in for work, so I guess I'm working through it. If it's as not-busy as a lot of holidays tend to be (and it looks like it might be, given how many businesses will be closed today), I might get sent home early, though I'm not sure if I'd go given the chance. Money and stuff, don't you know.
Better go ahead and close this out and get to work. At least it's a "short" day already, by my 11-hour-day standards.
