Prepping for job-hunting
Oct. 10th, 2003 04:37 pmWell, I did something smart today...got contact information for several of my cow-orkers, because some job applications or positions specifically want you to provide cow-orkers as references. I hadn't done any of that in my K-mart job, more fool I, but I'm glad I thought of it this time.
It occurs to me that since I'm going to be in Kansas City the weekend of the 24th to visit a friend, perhaps I can send some resumes to places in the K.C. area in the intervening time with a note in the cover letter "I'm gonna be in town the 24th, maybe we could meet up then." It can't hurt, and it'd be foolish to miss the opportunity.
Now I just have to make myself get around to updating the resume and doing the jobby-huntie thing this weekend.
