Good morning. I'm lying in bed, half-under the covers, and typing this entry before I get up and get about. I woke an hour or so earlier than I thought I would, so I can afford the time.

Kamen Rider Faiz was every bit as good as I expected...it just keeps getting better. After that, I basically just noodled around the rest of the day, relaxing and chatting and listening to music.

Y'know, it's funny...when I was very little, I used to wonder why they called today Labor Day when the whole point of it is that you don't work on it. Wouldn't it make more sense to call it Labor-free Day? I chuckle to think about it now.

Either way, it's kind of a non-issue for me because I am working on Labor Day today—all day—for 2.5x normal pay—$20 an hour. On the one hand, working the whole day is going to be kind of dull after being off for so long; on the other, I can always use the money...and besides, I had my "labor days" last week when I was lying in the hospital getting better.

I don't expect there to be very many calls...holiday Mondays, or at least the one I've had so far, tended to be kind of dead, as everyone assumes that, since everywhere else is closed, we must be too. That's kind of a double-edged sword; I'll get plenty of time to read, but I have to try to keep all the calls I handle short, because if I get long ones, there won't be as much of a chance to average them out lower. And given that our target time was dropped by a whole frigging minute last cycle, I really have to stay on my toes about this thing. Sigh. What with the days I was off, I imagine I probably didn't make my calls target for this last cycle...which is another reason I need to work that Labor Day today.

Well, I suppose I might as well get up, shave, dress, medicate the cat, get lunch ready, and have breakfast. Gonna be time to leave before I even know it.
