The last few days, I've been waking up promptly at 8 a.m., and it's been annoying to me because I "budgeted" my sleep time so that I could get eight hours and wake up at 10:30. Guessing that the culprit must be the window that I face, right above my bed, which faces east, I have just used up the last roll of my aluminum foil covering most of that window in the hope that cutting down the light will keep me from being woken prematurely.

It turns out that the computers I ordered from my friend are not going to reach me until Wednesday. I'd hoped to be able to pick them up this weekend, but that is not to be. Oh well.

In related shipping frustration, one package I ordered (that I foolishly had sent to my Springfield address and not my parents'...oh well) arrived today, while I was at work, and was signed for by a "Judy". I'm hoping that I remember correctly and that the neighbor across the street is named Judy...because the package was nowhere in evidence when I came home. If she has it, that would explain it. Would have been good if she'd left me a note about it, though, if it was her. If not, I'm gonna rip UPS a new one.

Got another 85 rating today. And a new seating position, for the third time in two months. Move here, move there...

Time for bed.

Hi, I was wondering if you have any extra LJ codes? I really want one but I haven't been able to get my hands on a code. If you do have one and you're willing to give it to me, please e-mail it to me at xraizx@yahoo.com

So did you get the package?

Oh...yes. Not only had my neighbor retrieved it after all (knowing I wouldn't be back 'til 11), but there was even a UPS "we left this with your neighbor" note stuck on my door, that I somehow missed entirely when I came in that night. My Orinoco Silver card is now docilely sitting and waiting on my bookshelf for my Wallstreet II to arrive.

It's always good when you have a neighbor you can trust. We had mixed experiences in our years in the apartments, and in our first house. Our current neighbors are great, though.
