Got an extra-long lunchbreak today, due to before-lunch training ending early. So, on the way home, I stopped at the local Barnes & Noble. I knew they would be having a Harry Potter party to celebrate the release of the new book, tomorrow at midnight. I checked on it, and found that if I placed a pre-order, I could get the book for 40% off—including tax, a total of $19.18. Which worked for me, I placed the order. I'll be over there as soon as work lets out tomorrow. The lady who took the order said that she couldn't guarantee I'd be able to get my hands on the book at the party, but she said it seemed likely. Which worked for me.

I've been waiting for the next book to come out for about three years; I'm really looking forward to it. My only problem will be keeping myself from diving right into it and reading straight through to 6 a.m. on Saturday morning. :)

Just wanted to say that the crazy lady waving at you last night at B&N was me...I didn't come over b/c it was a madhouse and they were about to call numbers...it looked like you were having a hard time placing me so I just wanted to make sure I let you know...

Hope you're enjoying the book!

Finished it this evening about 6 p.m. I'd rank it about the middle, behind #4 and #3, ahead of #1 and #2. Though my opinion may change on that down the road.

I'm only about halfway through, but damn, it's depressing me.

'Course, that was to be expected.
