MCI postscript

robotech_masterWell, I'm home again. Today we learned all the nitty gritty alphabet soup jargon of the phone industry, including LATAs, LECs, BOCs, ILECs, and a partridge in a pear tree. Kind of brain-numbing, but hopefully tomorrow will be more interesting.
Also, I've been told that there's another training course starting next Monday, and that they're looking for more hires. If the job appeals to anyone in the Springfield area, please drop by the MCI building near the Primrose Center and fill out one of their computerized applications. If you do, please be sure and list Christopher E. Meadows where it asks for who referred you (so I get the credit if you get hired).
Tonight I'll be dropping by the monthly Bookcrossing Meetup for the Bookcrossing website. Mudhouse, 7 p.m. It's funny...out of all my meetups, this is the only one I've ever attended that actually met more than once. It's hardly the one I would have expected to last, but it seems to have outstripped even the Livejournal meetup for my community.
