Sort of an "ehh" night. Nobody out-and-out stiffed me, but everybody undertipped. I made $15 in tips where, at 15%, I "should" have made $22. Still, it works out to $6.75 an hour, which is what I was making at Kmart before my most recent raise—and this job is ever so much more tolerable than Kmart, it's not even in the same league. At one point, I had to take an order about 3/8 of the way around town—an order that was an hour late before I even picked it up! And then I had to come right back 1/4 of the way around the town again to get the next one.

Kind of a funny thing...my supervisor, Raymond, is a fellow I actually worked with before—he was a temporary cashier at Kmart for a while. It's funny how circumstances can change perspectives; I seem to recall I didn't think much of his register skills at the time, as I was experienced enough to have it down to an art, while he was a bit new on the job and not doing it as efficiently as I could. But now he's my experienced boss, and I'm the mistake-making newbie! Talk about your role reversals. I didn't even recognize him as being the same person at first, until someone mentioned he said he'd worked with me before.

Tomorrow, I'm "on call" which means I should go ahead and get some sleep so as to wake up on time just in case they need to call me in.
