There was an auction for something I wanted--a once-used copy of The Sims, and an unopened copy of The Sims Hot Date. I wanted the Hot Date...and figured I could sell The Sims. So I set up and waited, and waited, until just the right moment...and then, one minute before time out, I struck.
As soon as they get here, I'll keep Hot Date, then put the original game back on eBay. If I can sell it for $20 or so, I'll come out ahead.
I suppose I really shouldn't have, and perhaps I ended up paying too much...but man, what a rush, bid sniping. It's almost worth a few extra bucks just for that feeling of slipping in right under the wire at the last moment. I can see how this eBay thing can be addictive.
