Plasma, Nobilis, and the Kindest LJ-Cut of All...

Well, I went to the other plasma place today. It's a place where I actually used to sell plasma before, but for some reason I switched to NABI. Anyway, I got my physical and stuff, the doctor was a funny and nice person. She did what I didn't expect, though...asked me why I got deferred from NABI. Heh. I suppose I'd just sort of thought she wouldn't, that she'd assume I'd quit for reasons of my own. At least that's what the person at NABI seemed to imply when I worried about this place calling them. She didn't mention that I'd be flat-out asked anyway.

Well, I didn't lie, I told her the straight truth about the ALT thing...that I didn't think there was anything wrong with me, and that I was willing to risk permanent deferral to donating there. It seemed to work out okay; I went ahead and got bled, then came back home.

I finished typing up my own review for Nobilis last night, and sent it on to RPGnet for posting there; I expect it'll go up within a day or so. More reviews keep coming; oddly enough, all the reviewers have given the game the highest possible ratings so far. I'm not gonna be an exception. :) Apparently several people who might not otherwise have been interested have been convinced by the controversy surrounding it to give it a look. This can only be considered a good thing, and I'm finding the discussion to be a lot of fun.

Another thing interesting that I just learned. The <lj-cut> tag can now be closed with an </lj-cut> tag, so that you can cut a big chunk of text out of the middle of a post, then say stuff at the end. Rather neat idea. I approve.
