"You look familiar"

So, as I was eating dinner at the Springfield Brewing Company (another fine restaurant/brewpub in my town, where I can get charged $6 for a burger and actually have it be worth it), a fellow says, "Chris!" and comes up to me. He looks familiar, but I just can't place him. I'm wondering is he one of my college classmates, or what? So, hoping I don't have this deer in the headlights look, I prevaricate, "Long time no see!" and he asks how everybody is, I say okay, and he goes over to some friends of his who are also there.

Then I realize this fellow is actually my pseudo-uncle (married to former aunt by marriage), David Duffey, at whose place I celebrated the fourth of July this year. Sometimes I really hate having this awful memory for faces.
